Data Retention Policy

  • PDF

Article summary

Data retention policy governs how long data should be stored and eventually disposed. It aims to adhere to legal requirements, minimize storage expenses by disposing of unnecessary data, safeguard sensitive information from unauthorized access or misuse.

Data retention functionality is not automatically activated for tenants. To enable Data Retention, the host must activate it from the "features" section of the tenant settings.

Once enabled, session data is automatically deleted, excluding outgoing data used within the flow and pre-recorded audios. Users can select the desired retention period from a dropdown menu. For instance, if 12 months is chosen, sessions older than 12 months are deleted via a background job that runs every morning, ensuring seamless management of data.
