Project: The overall design of the user's end-to-end conversation experience is called the Project. Virtual agents and integrations are sub-branches of the project. A project might be a collection of virtual agents, integrations, main flow and subflows.
Flow: Flow is a part where scenario designer plans how to interact with the user. For example, the customer is welcomed and asked what action s/he would like to take. The Virtual Agent placed in the main flow ensures that the required action is made by matching the desired transaction with an intent.
Subflow: Subflow is part of the main flow. The primary reason to design a subflow is to have a plain mainflow. In other words, if there are many operations and different steps to be done, some steps are done in the subflow to make the main flow easier to read and understand. For example, login authentications, survey flows etc.
How to Create a New Project
Scenario designer can create a project, define name, description and integration channels. All design changes in project are saved automatically. Project is testable any moment during design phase. When project is ready, scenario designer can publish it and project starts to receive and send activities through integration channels.
By clicking on the "+ New Project" button, the user can open a new page where the information about the project can be entered.
Name, Time Zone and Primary languages are mandatory fields. Primary language cannot be edited after creation.
During the creation, scenario designers can select existing Virtual Agents that are compatible with the project's primary language and additional language or create new ones by clicking the ‘+’. After creating the VA, entering the intents, creating the action flow, and training the VA before using it are performed in the Virtual Agent tab. They are outside the scope of this page.
A virtual agent can only be integrated with one project, but a project can have multiple virtual agents. After connecting a virtual agent to a project, you cannot go and delete the Virtual Agent while it is still connected. However, if the project is deleted, the Virtual Agent is also deleted.
When a Virtual Agent is integrated to the project, the "Survey" field is activated, a survey is automatically added for the selected primary language and additional languages.
Similar to adding a Virtual Agent, adding Channels and Services can be performed from this page. By clicking the downward arrow under Channels and Services, scenario designers can access the integrations that built under Integrations page and connect them to the project or create and connect new ones by clicking ‘+’ and fill the necessary information.
