This guide walks you through integrating LDAP/LDAPS with Knovvu Virtual Agent to streamline authentication for LDAP users.
LDAP/LDAPS integration allows users with the Designer role to log in using their directory credentials. For both on-premises and cloud projects, the key requirement is that the tenant’s Active Directory must be accessible externally.
1. Enable LDAP Login for the Tenant
In order to integrate with LDAP/LDAPS, the host user must enable LDAP login from SAAS --> Tenants --> Actions --> Features --> Identity.
:::
2. Configure LDAP Login Settings
Once the LDAP feature is enabled by the host user, the tenant admin must provide the required LDAP parameters in Knovvu VA via Administration → Settings → Identity Management → LDAP, as shown below.
3. Using LDAPS
To enable LDAPS, a valid certificate is required:
- Upload the certificate to the following path in Minio:
knovvu-va/<tenant-name>/<tenant-id>/certificates
. - After uploading, select LDAP over SSL and enter the certificate name.
4. User Login
Once the LDAP/LDAPS integration is configured, users can log in to Knovvu Virtual Agent with their directory credentials. Their user accounts are generated automatically upon first login with designer role.
