Branding and White Labelling

Prev Next

The Branding tab sets the logo, favicon, footer, application name and AI usage disclaimer used across the product, so a deployment can carry your own name and identity instead of the SESTEK AI Agents branding. This article covers the whole tab: what each field controls, where its value appears, the image and text limits, and what changes the moment you save.

📝 Note: Branding is a tab on the host tenant's Settings page, and it is available to host users only. A user signed in to a tenant does not see the tab at all, and there is nothing to enable per tenant to make it appear. Branding is platform wide. There is one set of values for the whole deployment, and every tenant sees the same logo, favicon, application name, footer and disclaimer. There is no per-tenant branding.

The Branding tab

Open Settings, then select the Branding tab.

The Branding tab on the Settings page

1. Enable Branding: The switch that governs the whole screen. Default: off. While it is off, the four text fields are disabled and the standard branding is served everywhere in the product. Turning it on makes the fields editable and serves your values across the application.

2. Logo: The logo shown in the application header, in the version information dialog and on the sign-in pages. An image is required in order to save.

3. Favicon: The icon shown in the browser tab, for the administration panel and the sign-in pages. An image is required in order to save.

4. Footer Text: The configurable part of the footer, which always begins with a fixed prefix reading 2021 - then the current year then |. Only the text after that prefix is yours, and the year is calculated and cannot be changed. Required. The standard value is AI Agents | Sestek, so the standard footer reads 2021 - 2026 | AI Agents | Sestek.

5. Application Name: The name of the deployment. It sets the browser tab title, the heading on the landing page and the application name on the sign-in pages. Required. The standard value is SESTEK AI Agents.

6. Application Description: The paragraph under the heading on the landing page. Required. The standard value is Welcome to SESTEK AI Agents. You may continue by selecting one of the menus below!.

7. AI Usage Disclaimer: The text shown when a user clicks the AI Powered link beside the footer. Required. It accepts Markdown.

8. Save: Writes every value on the tab.

Logo and favicon

The recommended pixel sizes in the help text (180x40 for the logo, 32x32 for the favicon) are advice, not a rule. Nothing rejects a larger image: an oversized logo is accepted and scaled down to fit the header. Treat the recommendation as the size that looks best rather than the size you must supply.

Where each value appears

Field Where it is shown
Logo Application header, version information dialog, sign-in pages
Favicon Browser tab icon for the administration panel and the sign-in pages
Footer Text Application footer, after the fixed year prefix
Application Name Browser tab title, landing page heading, sign-in pages
Application Description Landing page only, and only for users without access to Projects
AI Usage Disclaimer The dialog opened by the AI Powered link beside the footer

The browser tab title takes the form of the page title, then a vertical bar, then the application name, for example Projects | Northwind Assist. The product's own name is never appended to it.

Markdown in the AI usage disclaimer

The disclaimer is rendered as Markdown, so it can carry structure rather than one block of text. Headings, bold, italic and underline, bulleted and numbered lists, links, inline code, code blocks and block quotes are kept. Anything outside that set, including raw HTML and images, is removed before the text is shown.

What happens when you save

Saving the tab takes effect immediately. The logo, the footer, the browser tab title and the tab icon all change in place, with no reload and no sign-out.

Other browser tabs that were already open are the one exception: they can keep showing the previous tab icon for up to five minutes, because the icon is cached. The title and the rest of the interface in those tabs follow the new values as soon as they are used.

Documentation links while branding is on

Turning branding on also removes the links to the Sestek documentation site that appear in the product.

The explanatory text itself stays. Only the closing sentence that points at the documentation is removed, so the panel still explains what the settings do. These two descriptions are the only places in the product where such a link appears, so no other screen changes.
